Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersexual, Questioning... all describe very different experiences, yet they get lumped together as though the way an MTF experiences herself is the same as the way a married father of two experiences himself when he falls in love with a man.

Most therapists are trained as if everyone who isn't straight is the same. Which is of course quite ridiculous. Jill has been serving the non-straight community for over twenty years and is very aware that being bisexual is not the same as being intersexual and that a gay relationship is different from a lesbian relationship or the relationship a New Woman has with her wife.
